ON POINT - June 2009

Behind the Scenes at NTC Promenade” Civic Community Forum – June 9th, 5:00pm – 6:00pm at the NTC Command Center, 2640 Historic Decatur Rd.

Celebrate Your Employees!

The current economy has taken its toll on employee morale as overworked and nervous employees worry about the safety of their jobs. Studies show that this has resulted in more workplace injuries, more sick days, lower morale – all of which further impact productivity.

Why not show those harried employees some love? There are other studies that demonstrate that it pays to have fun with your employees. And that increases effectiveness.

The Venue Sales Team at NTC Promenade have suggestions for how you can reduce some of that employee stress by showing appreciation and having fun:

  1. Book an employee picnic in one of our beautiful grassy areas – everyone is equal in shorts and t-shirts and can relax and have fun.
  2. Book an appreciation dinner with rewards thrown in for good measure. Our McMillin Companies Event Center has been the location of choice for several major San Diego employers to recognize their stars.
  3. Book a training session in our executive conference center (NTC Command Center) on topics related to work or stress reduction.
  4. Book a teambuilding afternoon indoors or outdoors.
  5. Book a holiday party to exchange merriment – and by booking in November or January you can avoid adding to December craziness.

Any and all of these will show your employees that you appreciate them, give you opportunities to have fun together, and enjoy the historical beauty of The Venues of NTC Promenade.

Thank You Qualcomm!

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Qualcomm for their generous contribution of office desks, chairs and file cabinets, so that we can establish a Venue Sales and Leasing office at the NTC Command Center on Historic Decatur Road. This will provide our staff better access to the general public that visits NTC Promenade and Liberty Station.

You can make a difference too. Please consider making a donation to the NTC Foundation. Your support will help us translate the community's vision for the NTC Promenade into reality, to keep rents affordable for our nonprofit tenants, and to help the NTC Foundation build toward our long-term goal of operating self-sufficiency.
