Anneville Studio is the professional home of metalsmith, educator and photographer Anne Wolf. Anne's work has been shown internationally. As a successful custom mokume-gane wedding and commitment ring business - her rings now adorn the hands of couples all over San Diego and the U.S. Anne uses all recycled metals and conflict-free diamonds in her designs. The Artsy Girl Studio is the working studio of mixed media artist, Monica Martin. Combining colors and quotes are what inspires her. Billie Hamilton Fine Arts - Barracks 19
Billie Hamilton has been an expressionist painter from the day she picked up her first crayon. Over the past 50 years she has explored a number of mediums, including oil painting, watercolor, printmaking, medical illustration, digital haiga and montage, as well as assemblage and bas relief sculpture. For several years she has worked primarily in soft pastel, using highly saturated pigments in non-figurative composition. A stickler for archival and light-fast materials, she practices her art with an environmentally sensitive attitude.
Bravo School of Art - Barracks 19
In Bravo's studio classroom, students are encouraged to color outside the box and escape the daily grind by getting creative. Guided by one of our 20 instructors, choose from over 50 different hands-on art, craft and home decorating classes, workshops and summer camps for adults and children to explore creativity. Mosaic, Digital Photography, Collage, Mixed Media, Book Arts, Drawing, Painting, Watercolor, Acrylics, Oils, Weaving, Basketry, Jewelry, Printmaking and more. All skill levels are invited to attend. John Thomas Wood- Barracks 15
John Thomas Wood, photo-artist and author, displays fine art prints for homes and businesses. Much of his visual work resembles abstract expressionist painting, full of texture and color and defying identification. His work has been called “painting with a camera.” His prints hang in homes and offices in Germany, San Francisco, New York, Palm Springs, Sacramento, San Diego, Raleigh, Seattle, Bainbridge Island and Spokane.
June Rubin - Barracks 19
June Rubin has achieved recognition as an artist, illustrator, art director and teacher. Her experience in art comes naturally, she was raised by an artist mother who began giving docent tours at the la Jolla Museum of contemporary Art when June was a child. As staff artist at the San Diego Children’s Museum she taught art to young people and directed public murals working with elementary students. Ms. Rubin now enjoys expressing herself through painting, mixed media, and photography.
Lauren LeVieux - Barracks 15
Lauren LeVieux invites the viewer to enter into her narrative artwork with their own perspectives and stories. For her, the process of oil painting trumps it all. With a background in writing and literature, she knows the satisfaction of finding the word that belongs, but to find the combination of color, texture and form that defines a state of mind or reflects a narrative landscape or dream, this is the experience she seeks in her artist studio. When any guest to her studio is drawn into her art, the compelling nature of the process is confirmed and further development of her art encouraged. Her studio is transformed into a gallery for the First Friday Liberty event each month in Barracks 15, Studio 203 at Liberty Station, Point Loma.
M. Fischbeck Studio/Gallery - Barracks 19
Peggy Fischbeck has been drawing or painting since childhood and studied a variety of art education programs throughout her school years leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art. Her canvases range from scenes of coastal California to European forests. Her paintings are a rich journal of her travels and her oils retain the influence of Impressionism, but stand on their own in their focused compositions and expertly colored interpretations.
Martha Pace Swift Gallery - Building 201
The Swift Gallery is located in Building 201 next to Solare Ristorante at 2820 Roosevelt Road. Curated by the Expressive Arts Institute (EAI), the gallery features four to five high quality exhibits of visual art annually, with a focus on San Diego and emerging California artists, but with an open call-for-submission process to allow for national and international perspectives. The gallery is designed as a “public space gallery” that is accessible and “part of the fabric” of a visit to NTC. Art will be displayed in the main foyer of Building 201, formerly a Navy administration building built in 1941 that features an expansive exhibit space and stairwell designed in the Art Moderne style of architecture with high walls and lots of natural light.
Mod-Est Studio Gallery - Barracks 19
Kevin Winger studied oil painting privately in Ojai, California under artist Sharon Butler, giving him an early competency with the medium. In his youth and into early adulthood, Kevin experimented with many artistic endeavors including photography, music and writing. In 2007 Kevin discarded all of his paintbrushes and embraced palette knives. Later that same year he broke from a representational style and embarked on a series of creative journeys within the medium, generating heavily textured panels that push the limits of two dimensional art. Through his exploration Kevin strives to achieve maximum saturation of color and rely on spontaneous expression to drive the evolution of his works.
Paul Dean Loft/Gallery - Barracks 15 Paul uses watercolor in its most serendipitous form; fascinated by the spontaneity of the media, he often lets the material itself provide the brushstroke. Taking the eye beyond every day perception, his palate is at times subtle, and at other times vibrant. Paul still works three days per week as a dermatology expert at Grossmont Dermatology. Paul Paul has studied watercolor for over 25 years with such well-known artists as Robert Landry, Frank Francese, Milfor Zornes, Ed Whitney, Tony van Hasselt, Tony Couch. His work can also viewed at his medical office, Espresso Mio Café, and online at Dean-Art.com.

Pt. Loma Nazarene University - Art & Design Classroom – Building 176
The PLNU Department of Art and Design considers the visual arts to be an essential means of communicating societal values, images, beliefs, and identities. Its program builds on the university’s liberal arts foundation of general education. Studies in traditional, non-traditional, western, and nonwestern art forms encourage students to develop a broad understanding of the visual arts.
Ron's Shop - Barracks 15
Ron’s Shop exhibits an array of marquetry designs made by hand in my studio using the “chevalet de marqueterie”, a tool developed in Paris workshops in the mid-18th century. The chevalet allows for extremely precise and delicate cutting of veneers utilizing a saw blade that is about a tenth of a millimeter wide.
San Diego Watercolor Society - Building 202
San Diego Watercolor Society (SDWS) is a nonprofit, all volunteer, organization with more than 750 members. SDWS expands the appreciation of and involvement watermedia painting through instruction, exhibition, and community education. The large gallery is the showcase for artworks done by SDWS members. The gallery is open to the public and artwork is available for sale.
Visions Art Museum: Contemporary Quilts + Textiles- Building 202
Visions Art Museum is a not-for-profit international gallery and study center. Visitors may view and purchase art works representing the finest in contemporary quilt and fiber art. Five shows are presented each year that feature the work of local and international fiber artists. In addition to docent tours, classes and workshops in fiber arts are offered each month. The gallery shop features hand-dyed fabric and thread, silk scarves, fiber art design books, show catalogs, and fiber/quilt related gifts.
Women’s Museum of California - Barracks 16
Women’s Museum of California is one of only five Women’s Museums in the United States. It encompasses a museum, library, research archives, oral histories, events and a full spectrum of educational programs devoted to the history and accomplishments of women. The museum features a variety of changing exhibits and displays on women’s history, provides speakers for the community and provides education programs and traveling exhibits. The Women’s Museum of California provides space for exhibitions featuring professional women artists, film screenings and other collaborative projects.
