NTC at Liberty Station is home to several leading performing arts companies and organizations.

California Ballet School- Building 176
From its inception in 1968, California Ballet Company has been a fertile ground for the re-staging of the demanding classics and for the creation of its own trail-blazing works. Later on, the CBC bestowed on emerging young choreographers, many from San Diego, an opportunity to create and to develop through the company their own personal dance statements. In addition, the CBC has influenced, nurtured and enriched the lives of generations of committed dancers, many of whom are now performing across four continents.

Malashock Dance- Building 175
Malashock Dance is known for its collaborative projects and has successfully created projects with artists of all disciplines and arts organizations, such as the San Diego Opera, San Diego Symphony, La Jolla Music Society, KPBS-TV, the Old Globe Theatre, Museum of Photographic Arts, and many others. Malashock Dance is also known for their work in the new genre of dance film, choreography specifically for the camera. The Emmy Award winning productions, The Soul of Saturday Night and Love & Murder, produced with partner UCSD-TV, have been screened at various local and international film festivals and air on public television stations across the country.

The Malashock Dance School at Dance Place San Diego offers many classes for children, teens and adults. Whether just starting out or a seasoned professional, they have something for everyone!

San Diego Ballet's mission is to excite, enrich, and entertain our diverse audience through the imaginative presentation of quality classical and contemporary dance. San Diego Ballet's educational outreach program reaches over 10,000 every year in innovated programs designed for K-12. San Diego Ballet has been voted #1 dance troupe by the reader’s poll of the San Diego Union/Tribune, Signonsandiego.com and Best of San Diego.com.

Jean Isaacs San Diego Dance Theatre- Building 175
Founded in 1972 as a 501(c)3 professional company, the San Diego Dance Theater (SDDT) has for 35 years enriched the cultural life of San Diego through countless dance concerts and training for young dancers. Jean Isaacs was appointed Artistic Director in 1997 and under her direction, SDDT has earned its reputation as a company of fully-professional dancers committed to unconventional and deeply courageous programming which expands access to the stage for dancers of many nationalities, races, ages, and physical abilities. We are best known for our cross-border projects, our site-specific Trolley Dances, our summer dance workshops, and for the sheer beauty of our dancers.
