Start Your Independence Day Weekend at Friday Night Liberty – July 1
Remember Him by Shalah Dorafshan |
Start your Independence Day Weekend at Friday Night Liberty on July 1 and celebrate “The Freedom to Create!” Where else will you find The Flintstones art…a dress made out of videotape….graffiti art….paintings of dancers….Paintings from the Persian Heart….a jewelry trunk show….and, as always, CHOCOLATE! Our featured exhibit is Lil’ Grey, a 26-foot grey whale made of beach trash collected from our shores. Sponsored by San Diego Coastkeeper, the exhibit by artist Teresa Espaniola and 1st graders helps to spread the word about plastic beach pollution in a fun and engaging format…a perfect summer exhibit. A complete schedule is on our Friday Night Liberty page or 619-573-9260.

Celebrate Your Employees
The current economy has taken its toll on employee morale as overworked and nervous employees worry about the safety of their jobs. Studies show that this has resulted in more workplace injuries, more sick days, lower morale – all of which further impact productivity.
Why not show those harried employees some love? There are other studies that demonstrate that it pays to have fun with your employees, and that helps increases effectiveness.
The Venue Sales Team at NTC Promenade has suggestions for how you can reduce some of that employee stress by showing appreciation and having fun:
- Book an employee picnic in one of our beautiful grassy areas – everyone is equal in shorts and t-shirts and can relax and have fun.
- Book an appreciation dinner with rewards thrown in for good measure. Our McMillin Companies Event Center has been the location of choice for several major San Diego employers to recognize their stars.
- Book a training session in our executive conference center (NTC Command Center) on topics related to work or stress reduction.
- Book a teambuilding afternoon indoors or outdoors.
- Book a holiday party to exchange merriment – and by booking in November or January you can avoid adding to December craziness.
Any of these will show your employees that you appreciate them, give you opportunities to have fun together, and to enjoy the historical beauty of The Venues of NTC Promenade.
For more information, call one of our Event Sales Managers at (619) 573-9260. You can also check out the Venue section of our Web site.
