Donors Make the Difference
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to our donors! The NTC Foundation received several significant grants in July to advance our mission, including generous grants from the County of San Diego at the recommendation of Supervisor Greg Cox and Supervisor Ron Roberts. With the community’s support, NTC will once again transform the lives of new generations as NTC Promenade.
With seven buildings complete and open to the public, the NTC Foundation is ready to launch Phase II of the project. A significant $15,000 grant has been approved by the County of San Diego’s Community Enhancement Grant at the recommendation of Supervisor Greg Cox and a generous $2,500 grant at the recommendation of Supervisor Ron Roberts. Their contributions will help us to move forward with the renovation of seven barracks buildings in early 2011.
The NTC Foundation is also the recipient of generous support from the following donors:
- Roger & Lana Brenes made a generous pledge to support the mission of the NTC Foundation
- Jim & Pam Lester made a generous pledge to support the mission of the NTC Foundation
- Barbara Brown made a Rosebush Tribute gift in honor of her grandson in the Sybil Stockdale Rose Garden
- Community Service Association (CSA) of San Diego Unified School District approved a grant to support the Liberty School Program
The mission of the NTC Foundation is to enrich the lives of San Diegans by renovating 26 historic buildings at the former Naval Training Center to create, facilitate and operate a broad-based complex focused on experiencing the arts, culture and creativity that are the hallmark of the San Diego region.
You can make a difference too. Please consider making a gift to the NTC Foundation. For more information, contact Stacy Goodman, Director of Development. Donate Now!
